The Greek Islands
The Greek islands were made to sail.
Greece is known as the Mediterranean home of sailing and has long been a favourite of travellers, island hoppers and sailing enthusiasts from all over the world. With so many versatile islands and very different areas to explore we love the Ionian – Corfu, Lefkas and Kefalonia – for it’s tranquility, greenery and hospitality.
For those looking for incredible history, stronger winds and a more active party vibe, nothing can beat the Aegian and Cyclades – Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Ios. From here you can take a ferry trip down to visit Santorini. The Saronic and Argonic Gulf give perfect access to the wonderful City of Athens – visit the Parthenon, Acropolis and Herod Atticus Amphitheatre.
It’s very difficult to go wrong in any area of Greece.
Italy
Italy has everything. We do always associate it with excellent sailing. From the Tuscan Archipelago down to the Amalfi coast and onto the Aeolian Islands. Every area is different and provides a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach!
Porto Ferraio, Porto Azzurro and Giglo (of Costa Concordia fame) form part of the seven islands off Tuscany. Reliable weather, Tuscan cuisine and stunning local wines adorn this area. Further south, the Amalfi coast is a delight. The huge rocks surrounding Capri will blow your mind. Then sail along the coastline to view Positano – far better from the sea than being on land.
One particular highlight of Italy is the volcanic island of Stromboli. Sitting on your yacht watching the natural firework display of the active volcano is a life changing experience.
Croatia
The land of of a thousand islands!
Taking a yacht along the Croatian coast is a truly unique experience including Venetian villages with ancient baths, bell towers, medieval fortresses, quaint taverns and some of the clearest waters and pristine beaches in the Mediterranean.
You’ll discover secluded coves, inaccessible from land, bathe at sunset in spectacular waterfalls and savour delicious local food and wine in the taverns of some of the most beautiful islands. Croatian islands are over endowed with natural beauty to the point where narrowing down an itinerary becomes difficult!
Balearics
These stunning islands in the middle of the Mediterannean sea each have a charm of their own. Ibiza isn’t just about partying the night away in the clubs of San Antonio. The affluent island hides on its north coast some of the most breathtaking natural scenery and bays to rival anywhere in the world, offering a serene and peaceful vibe that is never usually associated with this area. Its sister island of Formentara is just a day’s sail away and she’ll delight you with overflowing displays of Bougainvillaea.
Majorca has pretty much lost it’s image of an 1980’s package holiday destination in favour of something more sophisticated. This worldwide Superyacht Hub is a place to see and be seen, offering great hospitality, high quality dining and dreamy sunsets every day.
